Participants can contact the

in Sikkim and for taxi transfer from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or
Bagdogra Airport to Majitar or Gangtok. We are requesting to put a stall
at conference venue.

Majitar to Natu La Pass Rs. 3000/- (Environment tax at Rs.

Venue

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology at Majitar, Rangpo.
This place (Sikkim Manipal Institute of
Technology)is
situated in between New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra to Gangtok on road route. Gangtok is
35 km ahead of Rangpo. Therefore one need not go upto Gangtok.
By Air :
Nearest Airport:
Bagdogra. (Near Siliguri, 117 kms from Gangtok)
Bagdogra is connected with regular direct flights from
Kolkata and New Delhi.
Domestic flights are available daily from New Delhi and Kolkata. One can
contact Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Kingfischer Airlines, Air Deccan,
Spice Jet, Jetlite etc. and get tickets online or through your travel
agent. Kolkata and Delhi are International Airports
well connected by various International Flights of different Airlines
throughout the world. If you are coming to Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore,
Hyderabad by International Flights, then come to domestic airport and
travel to Bagdogra via New Delhi or Kolkata. There is a free shuttle
service at every international airport in India to take you to domestic
airport.
By Road:
Gangtok is connected from
Siliguri through National Highway 31A. Siliguri is a major town on the
northern fringe of West Bengal being the main gateway of Sikkim.
By Taxis:
1. Taxis
are available from every where at above places. Charges are INR (Indian
Rupees) 135 Rs. (US $3) per
person for share taxi.
If one wants to travel alone in taxi from New Jalpaiguri railway station
or Bagdogra airport or Siliguri bus stand,
then he will have to pay maximum INR 1500 Rs (US $35).
2. From Siliguri Buses and Taxis are available at the following points:
Buses - SNT(Sikkim National Transport) Bus Terminus, Near Tenzing Norgay
Bus Terminus.
By Rail: Nearest Railway Station: New Jalpaiguri,
near Siliguri Town, 117
kms from Gangtok.
Overnight trains are available from Kolkata (Sialdah or Howarh railway
stations) which reach New Jalpaiguri
Station in the morning.
All parts of India are well connected by Train. One can reach New
Jalpaiguri from various parts of India.
